Saturday morning 9-12 AM – local time, May 2nd, 2020
Locations across America at your City Halls, your County and Federal Government offices.
Allow for traffic-fatigue, plan accordingly, prepare snacks, fill up your gas tanks and make sure your vehicle is road-worthy, and have a bathroom-plan.
This is a call for civil disobedience and orderly conduct.
When I first noticed an event planned for Lansing, Michigan, I thought it was a tremendous idea, but didn’t have much faith it would be as first presented.
I was wrong.
#OperationGridlock is occurring as I write these words, and it is a sight to behold.
Thousand upon thousands of drivers got into their vehicles this morning and headed for Michigan’s State Capitol.
This movement isn’t as focused on the quarantines, lockdowns, and social distancing, as much as it is primarily against the Governor’s draconian and Hitler-Esque rules, laws, and edicts of totalitarian measure.
Having grown up next-door in Ohio, I know Michigan to be a state of farming, of industry, of production, and has a great-share of America’s true “Blue-Collar” presence, fortitude, and spirit.
I almost had to wipe a tear from my eye as I got so choked up when I began seeing the videos coming out of #OperationGridlock.
How have so many simply forgotten, this is America. We’ve fought worse pandemics without shutting the country down, without social distancing laws and mandates, and without law enforcement fining and arresting people for not bowing to the State’s every whim.
#OperationGridlock is a fantastic place to start, but now, we need to harness this energy, motivation, and patriotism, and make our voices of anger, frustration, and dissatisfaction, go viral.
With all the tensions that occur between the “powers” and the people, the primary message that needs to be hailed from the rafters is that “We Outnumber Them”, and this is the government’s biggest fear. Not that we outnumber them, but what happens when such moments in history occur, where we need to arise, remind, and show them.
This isn’t a call to arms, or a call to violent measures, but the quarantines, lockdowns, and draconian measures being used against us, need to stop.
I set a date of May 2nd for two reasons: it’s a Saturday, and I know that some areas will be easing some of these restrictions on May 1st, but this goes beyond that point because some easing in some areas is not enough.
America needs to be unchained. We know who those at the most-risk are and such people should continue to take every precaution they can to prevent catching or spreading this virus, but it’s time to take the shackles & chains off the hands and feet of Americans, let us get back to work and living our lives, and let’s begin repairing the economic disaster that this overplayed pandemic reaction has caused.
Now, it’s up to you. It’s up to you to make this go viral. Share it everywhere, and look for my upcoming YouTube video on #OPB2
It’s time to Push-Back, and it’s time to take America back.
